Skills for Change
Since 1982 Skills for Change (SfC) has been working with immigrants and refugees to provide them with learning and training opportunities that help them access and fully participate in the workplace and wider community. The vision of Skills for Change is a Canada where every immigrant succeeds.
Skills for Changes offers skills upgrading, language assessment and training, as well as employment preparation programs. Many of the agency's programs are \"sector specific\" meaning they are specialized to a particular sector or profession – such as teaching, engineering, accounting, health care etc.; many programs include a mentoring component.
Skills for Change works closely with employers, enabling them to meet their workplace challenges and human capital needs by connecting them with international talent, as well as providing customized workshops and training.
