This position is based in North Bay, Ontario. The Central Hydro Plant Group operates 26 small hydro stations and associated control structures across Central Ontario with service centres located in North Bay, Coniston, Gravenhurst and Campbellford. As the successful candidates you may have the opportunity to assist in a variety of activities, which may include the following: Assisting to organize information in a Microsoft Sharepoint repository: assigning numbers to documents, scanning information into PDF documents; migrating information into Sharepoint directories Learning how sharepoint is applied at Central Hydro Plant Group and becoming adept in the use of Microsoft Sharepoint Assembling and organizing hardcopy information into a user-friendly filing system Assisting departments on an as-needed basis to support electronic scanning and the migration of newly scanned material into Sharepoint directories Supporting IT initiatives as required Please note, this position is based out of our Central Hydro Plant Group headquarters in North Bay, Ontario. We are searching for an enthusiastic Information Technology (IT) or Information Systems Support student who has successfully completed a minimum of second year and will be returning to university or college (full-time) upon completion of this work term, or requires one final work term to graduate. Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and knowledge: Exceptional computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access) Knowledge of MS Sharepoint Working knowledge of Microsoft Infopath would be an asset Experience with document management, record-keeping or information organizing skills Excellent written communication skills Strong teamwork skills We offer students an opportunity to learn and gain experience in a fast-paced and diverse work environment.
